My money is on you bought it for way to cheap and that super good deal turned bad. You ended up buying a messed-up bike before it was shipped. AND Insurance Co's tell you on your insurance card not to talk to or admit that it was your fault in an accident. Good Luck Florida Man.

All of my bikes I went to check out and ride first. Pulled all the logs from service etc. The closest one was my last one 8 hours away.

If somebody strapped my bike in there like that I'd have unloaded it and told them to kick rocks.

Definitely make him buy you a new spark plug.

In viewing your photos I can say straight away that this is NOT how you strap down a motorcycle no more than one would strap a 4 wheel vehicle in this manner. Inertia is always present, front to back/side to side and it's obvious by how this individual restrained this bike that he was unaware of what would happen in transit.

This other issue you may have with filing a claim on his insurance is the fact that he may not be insured to even transport motor vehicles. There are a LOT of household goods carriers that seem to think sliding 3 cars into a 53' dry van is okay, and hell, they are not restrained in anyway whatsoever. Auto haulers have different insurance requirements than do other carriers and by the looks of this guy I would highly doubt he has the proper insurance coverage for this bike.

I may be wrong and for your sake I hope I am, but this really is a buyer beware situation.

    Merry Christmas!

I will say this you can just use ratchets on the forks but better have a good anchor for each side.

    buddyd157 and AModelCat Thank this.
