Dacs that have been trashed takes years to clear.

Used to be you went local because they didnt give a #### about DAC. (That's changing now..)

What you might be running into is actually something more sinster than simple trashed DAC, Black Listing. It's a activity that is state based and certain states allow this practice in specific ways. For example, a employer in indiana has me BL from the midwest steel region with a verbal word on the phone which is legal in IN. To any employer that inquires. As long this Billion dollar company does not write it down against IN Law they are ok. Otherwise I am on my way to ownership when the courthouse in IN gets through with them.

Its been essentially 30 years and water under the bridge. If for instance I was a 6 million dollar man from the 70's in medical parts such as a new replacement spine etc and went back into trucking that employer and such would not exist (And does not) because under law DAC and hire-right cleans it off 7 to 10 years so they can stuff that whole BL and DAC thing. Ill be back to running McKesson again which is high dollar pharmacy and hospital medicines, cancer drugs and narcotics in excess of a million per load. That little tiny steel outfit can take a rust or two as far as I care at this point in life. (It's too bad, I enjoyed that work very much) I did not think I would be on the other side medically relying on some of the products made available by them these days.

I have both but a bad DAC is worse than a felony it seems.

You wont believe the number of Felons who restarted their free world out of prision on the dock lumping the freight 50 dollars cash a load times a number per day. Albany reminds me of a few good ones. I was a hard worker, but some of these excons worked really seriously hard for the cash they got each day there. I think there is a big house in the area so there was a number of them availible to hire on to do the load. I was pretty fit, but they were more fit and able to do more loads than me during the day because where they were they had to be hard and beyond fit.

Not once did I have trouble with them. But the potential was there even way back then if there was going to be a problem it would be taken care of there and then. I learned from some of them. Which was good.

What's not good is that lumpers charge 300 today for a trailer load. Come on fellas. You think at those rates drivers should be 2.00 a mile all miles by now.

well, i am confused by your entire postings.

you had your CDL for 3 years, you had several wrecks, and now you are an o/o..??

after 7 years, all that information cannot be said of you no more. (at least, it's not supposed to)

i, on a yearly basis, get a free copy of my DAC, and the companies i used to work for, now past that 7 year time frame, are only reported as an employer, and nothing else.

i don;t know what happened at each accident you had, ok, you call them incidents, however, THE COMPANIES call them what they will, and you may (or in your case) may NOT be able to change that, since you claim to have been doing the run-a-round with DAC "for years", but you only have had your CDL for (now..??) 3 years..???

again, i am confused...did all these things happen in the first year...????

for you to mention so many companies in your first posting, makes me wonder if you just went from one to another in very short time.
