Off topic, but how often are you smoking and replacing brakes?

For now I have yo say I never smoked or changed any brakes. Only 8000 so far. I have 4 or 5 level on jakes. Pretty impressive braking power. You can set it however you want. Maintain 100 kmh downhill, 110, 120, no limits.

I never toutch the brakes going downhill.

I must have misunderstood your post Skro. I understood that downhill the trans was in neutral, which would effectively render the jake useless. Thats always my complaint, the jakes are never good enough haha! Ran a 2015 Paccar engine, brake was useless.

It does go in neutral, rpm drops to 600, but as soon as you hit selected maximum speed it goes into gear and activate the jakes. CRAZY power im telling you!!!! You better wear your seatbelt.
First time I tryed it I was bobtail and put it on max, what a mistake lol

Haha. Thats an interesting way to do it. I bet the fuel economy is sweet. I've jaked on a few cummins on 3 bobtail, even that hurts, i can imagine yours! I thought YOU shifted it into neutral, hence the confusion. Sorry.

Lol I never take anything personal, no need to be sorry. You sounded like a good guy from the first post.

Please let me when you come through Colorado so I can take the day off. Learn to drive a loaded truck, for the safety of the motoring public.

Are you asking to learn or asking to teach him?
