Hey Joseph. I've talked to a number of GTI drivers out west and most of them have been pretty positive. I see you have a typical Cascadia with the APU. I like the fact that GTI has back up lights on both sides. I think that should be mandatory! So few co's have that. How often do they let you wash the truck? Did it come with an inverter or did you have to supply your own? I'm pretty sure the QC you have is the one with the slide out keyboard. I've gotten used to macros and I'm used to driving 61-62. Actually, since I drive in CA and OR a lot, 59-60 is tops. And cops like to sit at the bottom of "dips" to catch truckers who want to let their momentum carry them up the other side.
Only one old timer complained that GTI had gotten too big and that he was "just a number". -

I did? Because I haven't posted? It's still not bad, I have to work out a few kinks and we need to get used to each other ( I'm not used to the big company atmosphere and I'm a hustler, and they probably aren't used to dealing with an Irish Italian from the northeast with a chip on his shoulder, ha ha), but in all reality, its not that bad. I have to get used to keeping my speed down, I think I may have hit 68 once, I've heard that's a no no, but decent trucks, decent loads, and I don't really have to interact with them much. One thing I've noticed is a lack of communication between DMs, which resulted in me getting screwed out of hometime. I'm a very independent driver, always have been, I've been doing this long enough that I don't need the hand holding when it comes to things. But all in all, it's not bad, and the good does outweigh the bad. I'm not quitting, I'm going to make it work. I don't job hop. I'll make it work, and if I can't, I will leave on good terms. Remember, they are giving you the opportunity to make a living. It's on you whether you take it or not. Where I'm from, it's all about the hustle. In every way. That's the way I live, I work and conduct everything about my life. This is going to sound bad, but if it comes down to me getting mine or you, I'm getting mine. I'm out here to make $$$$. That's the only way to survive in this business kid.
