Not a bad day today 581 miles. A little over 300 to do to get to Lansing Mi. Should be there around 2 pm. A few more days and it time for home and christmas.

I wonder what Santa will leave me. I have been a Good Boy. :evil2:

What a day! Headed for Aurora...started in Winnemucca,NV bad weather right from the start to the finish....snow,ice fog early on then headed into a rest area at the other end of the desert on 80 and get stuck on the ice and snow....chain up and manage to get it off...end up at the TA here in Fort Bridger exhausted....hopefully home by Monday....

Oh, and I start reefer when I come back out!

    joseph1135 Thanks this.

Tow should be home, I'm on my war to Utah for Saturday. All is well in the TTR world of GTI. Lol. Chowick welcome to the reefer side! A lot less drop and hook but longer runs. At least I think so. Lol. Denali is coming on board after the new year and Greyhound is doing good, newtrucker bak is coming on the 48 fleet. We all have to get together. I hope everyone has an awesome holiday and a very profitable new year. Now lets go make some money.

tow614 and Newtrucker bak Thank this.

So you were one of the smurfs going the other way! Just parked in Fernley, NV after leaving Fort Bridger this A.M.

Hope you can follow that crap to CO rather than pass though it again.

One word of Caution about refer fleet. In the past you had to threaten to quit (and be convincing about it) to get off refer and back on the dry side

653 miles today. Not my personal best (1156 before elogs, 728 after) but it will do. Started the day in Barkeyville, PA and chilling in Tiffin, IA. Heading to Grantsville, UT, I will be there saturday so I can put this load on this week giving me just under 3700 miles. From Ochelata, OK to Russellville, AR, then Russellville, AR to Indianapolis, IN, then picked up in Indy for the ####### load from hell that delivered to Walmart in Wintersville, OH (its in Stuebenville, must be another tax dodge from the scumbags at MalWart to say its in Wintersville) and then over to Claysburg, PA to final that one. They took long to load me, like 7 1/2 hours, then they say there's not a pallet on the trailer, come to find out THEY FORGOT THEY ACTUALLY DID PUT IT ON THE TRAILER which I found out later. Oh well. Then off to Mechanicsburg to drop the trailer with one pallet and pull a brain surgeon out that saw 3 clean spots and chose the ice/snow covered one and got himself stuck, ran to Manchester to grab an empty, drop/hook in Taylor, PA and here I sit until the late morning. Then I think I'll make it to Sidney, NE and call it a day.

Nice to make some miles like that. Weather for the most part is good so lets keep our fingers crossed (balls too) that it will stay decent.

Sometimes I prefer live load/unload....as long as it's not the 7.5 hour variety of course!! At least you know you have an empty at the end....Which is of course one of the big downfalls when dropping at a yard, especially over a weekend. I certainly am hoping for longer runs, and I would guess that is dependent more on how you have your home time set. I am perfectly happy running 3 days without having to worry about loading/unloading etc.... just as a guide what, ball park, would you say your average length of haul is? I would say mine currently would be hovering around the 6-800 mark (I will have to check to make sure!!)..and how much d/h do you do as opposed to live....and wash outs,do you do them every time and presumably after emptying out? do they have accounts with blue beacon and the like for that? Mark is going to be my DM by the way!!

Hope you all have a great few days and can get home!!!

And just in case there are any Tottenham Hotspur fans on here, all I have to say is Tottenham 0 Liverpool 5!!!!! HAHAHA..... to those of you confused they are 2 English Soccer teams (being born and raised in England..)

What a week this has been. I won't go into detail because Mastertech and Bullhaulerswife would certainly order me to write the darned book, but I've had a steering column failure resulting in a truck that had very limited left-turning ability (and wasn't that fun!) preplans that were impossible from the start (how does one start a trip 3 hours after expiration of a 14, I want to know) and this crazy-##### weather. And the ProStar loaner they have me wanted a parked regen. But then it didn't. But then it did. And Dennis Rodman is trying out a North Korea basketball team? Really?

Makes a driver seriously want to retire. Again.

I might be a weirdo when it comes to this kind of stuff (or just old!) but I've had many fewer issues with live loads than with drop/hook.and I slep next to a reefer two days ago...music to my ear!

I do have to make one small correction to what is obviously a typo. They don't play soccer in England. They play football, the way it was meant to be played. As one who grew up in Jordan, football was my #1 sport.
