My new adventure with Gordon Trucking

I was looking at the Cascadia interior pix and have a question. What is that one black lever for?

 

That is the air release to release the kingpin from inside the cab instead of reaching under the trailer and getting grease all over you.. all Gti trucks have them

 

Oh wow. That is pretty neat. Didn't even know such a thing exists.

 

Dont be impressed. They are glitchy as hell, I wish we didnt have them.

 

Yes..we do have a lot of nice conveniences that we sometimes forget about until we are at a truck stop in Arizona and see some driver whose company does not put apu's on their trucks sweating all night because they are not allowed to idle to keep cool so they can rest.

 

I have never had a problem with it and I have had 5 trucks over the last 4 years.. 3 of them brand new.

 

Have had 4 trucks, worked right on one of them.

I have that on my '99 century,nothing new.

 

I had that on my 04' Columbia. Can be a pain in the rear to work but can be a life saver in the rain, sleet or snow.
