AAAHHH come on who needs that nice warm weather when they can have 10 inches of snow and blowing cold wind. Well got a preplan and like a idot did not look at it very good. 500 miles to sparks Nv for 0900 delivery. Not bad I can do that with a little over 9 hours.
OOOPPPPPS Guess what its another 100 miles after I get it loaded. Now I cant get it there untill saturday.... Sometimes I hate this E logs....Newtrucker bak Thanks this. -
Do Indiana and Illinois normally get this much ice and snow?
Other truck hit the final straw last week (air compressor was going out) and have been stuck in the area while getting a newer truck a couple of weeks earlier than planned.
New Ogre ride is a 2011 Pete 387 with ISX. Headed for Fernley, NV now...... -
And it's not February yet. That's when we normally get winterized good. We will see. Honestly, this year has taken my love of winter down a notch or two. -
I will see how successful I am at learning lessons!double yellow Thanks this. -
The trip miles on a preplan never show the empty miles....you must figure that out on your own

You guys maybe interested in this.... I pulled this directly from the HTLND annual report for 2012..
We may not make acquisitions in the future, or if we do, we may not be successful in integrating the acquired company,
either of which could have a materially adverse effect on our business.
Historically, acquisitions have been a part of our growth. There is no assurance that we will be successful in identifying, negotiating,
or consummating any future acquisitions. If we fail to make any future acquisitions, our growth rate could be materially and
adversely affected. Any acquisitions we undertake could involve the dilutive issuance of equity securities, incurring indebtedness,
and/or incurring large one-time expenses. In addition, acquisitions involve numerous risks, including difficulties in assimilating
the acquired company's operations, the diversion of our management's attention from other business concerns, risks of entering
into markets in which we have had no or only limited direct experience, and the potential loss of customers, key employees, and
drivers of the acquired company, all of which could have a materially adverse effect on our business and operating results. If we
make acquisitions in the future, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to successfully integrate the acquired companies or assets
into our business.
Interesting, huh.....given that not a whole lot of time passed since then that they acquired GTI and what they said after acquiring GTI flies almost completely in the face of what they said in this. -
Incidentally....if any on here are interested I have created a GPS POI (Point of Interest) file for ALL (I think anyway...) GTI and almost all HTLND terminals and drop yards. I will probably drop it onto a file downloading service to make it easier to link to...I hope....watch this space!
DenaliDad Thanks this.
