Honestly, with the miserable weather I've been driving in here in the Midwest regional area since December and having two very ill grandchildren (including at least one hospitalization) far away in Oklahoma, retiring again sounds sweet to me, too.

That outfit in Tennessee, if the truck in your sig pic belongs to it, is based 50 miles north of where I once lived in Alabama. Small world this is.

It is the one..they have made a lot of positive changes in the last 6 months..

significant pay increase.. new trucks with apu's... elogs...health care for the driver but still need to allow addition to family but they are working on it.
I don't need the insurance as I am on my wifes now.. far better than what we had at gti as well..

I feel very good about this move... hopefully I am done with the mega carriers now and can continue here until I retire..

Thanks to the help of my wife we now have everything removed from my smurf truck..

you know.. it is amazing the amount of stuff we acquire over time in such a tiny space... we always say we need it but a lot of this stuff I didn't even know I had in there... how could I need it if I didn't know that I had it... lol

definitely going to prioritize and eliminate some of this stuff before loading up my next truck...

I try to strip EVERYTHING from the truck twice per year.

Late spring to get rid of winter junk.

    Fall to prep for winter.

I make sure to check the canned and dry goods for expiration dates and such then.

    tow614 Thanks this.

And my guess is every driver says the same thing. And eventually returns it all to the nooks and crannies of another truck. It's how we are.
