Well I got off to a 400 mile load to Cedar Rapids Ia on thrusday morning. That was done thursday night and got a preplan for clinton Ia to Flagstaff drop and hook for friday PU and delivery trusday. Sounds good right? Well get to Purina in clinton Ia and find pout the trailer has not been started. So this drop and hook became a live load for 10.5 hours wait. Gets even better get loaded and go to the truck stop to weigh out and find Im over gross. Back to shipper and they take off 1300 lbs. for another 1.5 hour wait. Now I can run for 11 hours but have not had any sleep so I fugure its time for bed and start in the AM.

Get up this morning ands there is about 2 inches of snow on the ground and about 50 accidents on I 80. They shut the road down have a 14 mile backup and have to detore thru town. So now that about 3 hours lost today. Here Im at the flying J just before the toll road on 35 between KC and Wichta KS. Only 495 miles and 1100 to go. So much for a early monday delivery. Now Its a good thing its a tuesday delivery.

Oh well it could be worse i could be stuck in socal or in a cummins dealer in KC or even having to go across wyoming :biggrin_25512:

Well I'm still here in Millersburg. Got my truck out. Now I am teaching guys how to chain and pulling guys out. So far 5 trucks to help chain and pull out. I'm helpful. Who'd have thought the NE guy would have to teach the NW guys a thing or two! Lol

Snow in the western Texas deserts? I know it's not uncommon, but it's a real testament to the rough winter this country has seen this year. It almost seams as if the California coast, the Arizona deserts, and central/south Florida are the ONLY places that HAVEN'T seen some sort of wintry weather this year. Can't wait for spring...

Going rate is $20 per wheel. Time to augment that million-dollar retirement account! Don't work cheap.

I would LOVE to be sent near an HTLD terminal. The junk coming off my truck in the wash bay would certainly qualify them for a Superfund financial assistance. And I'm not done yet. I will be buying windshield washer; hopefully, OTR will fund it. If not, another tax deduction!

I haven't seen a Heartland truck for a few days. Maybe they can't deal with a little snow lol

I am going across Wyoming. The entire state, left to right. Much of it at 35 mph because of the winds and accidents. I saw all those accidents and even reported two to the WHP until I realized I'd be on the phone all day. And I'm still not out of Cheyenne.

my Monday delivery in Ohio has turned into a Thursday delivery...if I'm lucky and Nebraska is nice to me. Then, of course, there's the Midwest...

Come to think of it, neither have I. I wonder if they have the single-screw ProStars...I drove one for a week in Michigan snow and can attest to them not doing well at all.

but I kind of envy them not being in snow and winter. I'm ready to complain about heat and sweat again.

I just looked at the wyoroad.info site. Looked pretty good everywhere except between Laramie and Cheyenne.
