Priority for fixing APU's is now almost at the bottom of their list. Back in the summer I had a problem with A/C on the APU and it was fixed quickly and correctly, then I have problems in the winter and they are now (or where!!!) lollygagging around. Make sure they have you in hotels if they are not fixing it.....you do not deserve to sit in a sauna or icebox!!! They shelled out in excess of $800 in motels for me to avoid getting it fixed on the road.

 

I go home every night so my APU not working doesn't really bother me to much. I just like to have a warm truck on these cold Michigan winter mornings. The bunk heater works but my batteries are weak (another issue otr doesn't seem to want to fix) so it drains any juice they have left and im calling otr for a jump.
Have I mentioned my qualcom doesn't work at all? I run paper logs and can't be tracked with the gps tracker.

 

Which is why I'm going to ask that it be done on my way home. I'll see what they say...

 

Drop made with minimal problems; I will just say that some days, I can put this truck on a postage stamp and some days I can't even find the post office. This was one of those days. But I finally managed to get it near the dock and unloaded. I'm now parked at a nearby TA. If you hear me complain about paying $10 a night to park, just slap me and remind me of TA in LA...for the pleasure of finding an empty spot - at 11:30 in the morning, by the way - I got to pay $20.00. Wow.

But I'm here and empty and completely out of hours until recap tonight. I don't have a PP yet so I expect I'll get one later. I also don't have an APU and the OAT is 85 degrees...I learned the truck does not idle at that temp. So maybe Tow's "117" is right...?

 

Spend $20 in the store and restaurants then you dont pay for parking...

 

Dont be a tease
