So. I have decided that I am ending my time with GTI. Because in the last two months, I've made no money. A little, but nothing like I usually do. The last straw was the truck I received. Which the fifth wheel is screwed up and the starter is a mess and nobody bothered to clean it or inspect it. Thanks guys. Also having to sit 27 hours to deliver a load that local guys could have done. Thanks guys. Heartofatrucker, I would never work for heartland express. Even when I was offered back in the day. So I'm letting them know today I'm out. And I feel better about my decision to do this. GTI was a good company. GTI no longer exists. Long live Gordon Trucking and it's legacy.

Let me rephrase that. I ended my time with Heartland Express. I would have never left GTI.

Looks to me like the Gordons got 330 million and left all of you.

From last few postings looks like more drivers leaving HEARTLESS

Let me add a few things here. Cause I feel I'm on a roll. Number one the Russellville to Tolleson, AZ load isn't new like it was posted to Facebook. I've been doing it for a while. And the fact that Heartland had sent someone here to put lipstick on a pig shows even they know their reputation isn't good amongst drivers. Let's be real. Heartland owes us nothing. They have their business and run it as they see fit. And you've got to respect that. You also have to respect that they've been as successful as they have been. And to HTLD, GTI was one of those companies that put drivers first. Larry Gordon knew where his bread and butter was and took care of them by getting the best equipment, great terminals, and kept them busy and treated them with respect. Only a few have been like Gordon Trucking. Carretta, Harold Ives and MS Carriers. GTI was among them. Now, just like with Ives and MS, another big corporate takeover and the effects are going to be bad for those who are accustomed to the way GTI was. Not taking anything away from HTLD, but they are no GTI. What a shame. A company I wanted to work for, and I wanted to for 10 years, to a company that I must leave. You owe us nothing, not even a tug on the balls and a "good job, driver". And at the same rate we owe you nothing. Many took it personal. I did not. Not until I was given faulty equipment, and the reason why I just won't take it in is because I'm not sitting for three days or getting into another nasty loaner. Good luck to heartland and I wish continued success for them and the Gerdin family. I just don't want to be a part of it.
tow614, DenaliDad, double yellow and 3 others Thank this. -
Newtrucker bak and DenaliDad Thank this.

So a Heartland Shop took your Gordon truck away and gave you a Heartland truck? That would probably pi$$ me off too. To be honest I am so far very happy with my Texas Salary position but I am not happy with my truck with no inverter. But I know my next one will have one. It takes awhile to replace 3000 trucks.
