My new adventure with Gordon Trucking

Huh. I thought we did.

 

Hoping I get a hershey load to Edwardsville out on Thursday night that I could drop Saturday and keep rolling. That would make a good week better.

 

Got my load back to Edwardsville plus a bonus load picking up at Mechanicsburg and going to Mountville PA. That's well over 3000 this week. Yay. Lol.

 

62 mph truck. I will have to try really really hard to do that. I can't get a ticket going downhill in a school zone. Lol.

 

3196 miles this week. All on the back 8 days, no reset, not a lot to work with. 3196 from Sunday to Saturday when I deliver the load I am dispatched on now. That was after a stellar week last week. Actually, I've had some pretty good weeks here. If you're willing to work, they are willing to work you. They've got the freight. And they have the planners. They run an ad that says it all comes down to who's planners are best. Theirs are. Hands down. Talk about being able to do the job. If you sit at Gordon Trucking, that's on you. I haven't had time to sit. The company knows what it's doing and it is a well oiled machine. I am amazed constantly at the amount of work there is here. And that I can get it.

Sure, there are some that will tell you Gordon sucks. And they don't care. They like to sit you. Some guys can't truck. All there is to it. Gordon is not perfect. But they are pretty close. Trucks are slow, 62 mph. They do tell you where to fuel. And the 89,543 & 1/2 macros to send a day. But of you're interested in making miles and money, legally, safely and in a comfortable well equipped truck, you're not gonna find it easy. But you will find it driving a smurf blue Freightliner I'm going to bed. Gotta be up in a few hours to go grab the last one of the week. And to those who say "starter company", I wish I would have started here. I would have started and stayed.
