I as just trying to have a place for drivers to discuss Gordon and put my experience here as well. It's gone on to be one of the most "controversial" threads on TTR! I'm so proud, ha ha ha. I think it's a good place to work, there are some things that aren't great, but the good outweighs the bad here. Insurance, pay, miles, driver amenities, it all comes together here. Trucks are not fast, 62 mph, and sometimes you just want to chill and they've got 8 loads on you. But, they keep you busy in a comfortable truck and when you're at a terminal there's workout rooms and tv with comfortable chairs and big showers and laundry and quite a few other things. A few terminals are by truckstops as well. They certainly do have their detractors. But if you're a good worker there is money to be made here for sure.

In the lower right hand side of the blocks you read, right after "Reply With Quote," you should see a symbol. Hover over it and it says "Multi-Quote This Message." Click on it and all the quotes you want to quote, then click on any "Reply With Quote." They should all show up so you can edit the amount of quotes you want to include, just like normal. Just make sure to leave the QUOTE and /QUOTE brackets for all of them intact! Try it.

You can also highlight something you want to quote, copy it over into a reply, and use the quote icon above to put into quotes. Then save.

You can repeat the process for multiple quotes. That is, copy anything additional you want to quote, open your post up with 'edit', then paste it in where you want it, highlight again and use quote icon above again. Rather trivial, really.

    Definitely above joseph's paygrade, though. ; 0)

I wonder how many Gordon drivers are on here besides Joe and Vic. I for one would like to see where I've been all year if GTI or any company can do it.

Joseph does Gordon make you run hot? reason I ask is because there was thread a while back from a driver who quit them because they were running him to death.

I often felt pulled along by a ring through my nose.

Any time you stop, the QC (QualComm) is likely to beep you for something, usually ETA/PTA update (Estimated Time Arrival/Predicted Time Available) or PP (Pre-Plan) and insisting on answer/response from you. "I NEED YOU TO... " Always in caps.

Guarantee, you turn the key on in the morning, the QC beeps you immediately. But I just wanted to listen to the radio...

So after a while you start to feel pretty henpecked. If you acknowledge without looking, you can set yourself up for a service failure. So you have to take time to review the PP c-a-r-e-f-u-l-l-y, no matter what you stopped for. Gotta pee, darn it. Then when you respond, your DM may be busy with other drivers and you wait and wait, instead of book it down the road to your delivery.

The PrePlan does not tell you if the proposed load is a Service Watch load (just-in-time--usually). What irked me was that there is a delivery window that your DM probably won't tell you. It could show 1400-1400, meaning a 2 p.m. appointment tomorrow, for example, and the window really stretches a day or two further out.

But Gordon doesn't want you to know that.

On one of those hurry, hurry, Service Watch loads, when I arrived I was told I was 105 hours early. Say, what???

We run with elogs so you never run hot if you mean illegal... I have met several guys here who think if they are asked to run more than 300 miles a day that they are being worked to death.
Nobody pushes you but yourself. If you tell your dm you can run a load ontime then you are expected to do so. If after reviewing a preplan you feel you are unable to do ontime simply communicate that to your dm along with when you can deliver and the load will either be pulled off you or rescheduled. Sometimes you may need to explain why you are not able to deliver ontime but I usually include that info in my initial response. No one has ever argued with me about it.. well except for a couple of braindead dm's we have gone thru on occasion but it is simple to explain it to them.. you just have to speak very slowly and don't use big words...lol
Usually they respond to run safe and legal which means do the best you can.
