My new adventure with Gordon Trucking

Notice no cb antennas.. they are built into the truck... detroit motors.. jake sucks.. have to go down another gear on big grades.. new digital dash display like volvos.. 1000 lbs lighter... shorter wheel base..

 

My friend just got one last week. I have been getting a new one every year but i really like mine. I have one that you dont have to regen the apu. But i now have 250k on it so they will probably take it and give it to a newer driver. They like the new ones to go to us fleet drivers and reefer guys so you will probably get one. I have had 4 new trucks with gordon and tired of working all the bugs out of them and passing them on to some newbie who tears them up..

 

He had 10607 and they put him in a new one.. i got 10543.... the 102.. series had a lot of front end vibration issues and alignment problems.. starting to have a lot of egr problems due to faulty o-rings.. thats why we are going to detroits.. no more cummins..

 

Detroits DD15 keeps getting better every year. I imagine besides the egr problems, mgmt. decided to go with the DD15 engine.

What is the insurance like there Is it BCBS ? If so how much for a wife to add on and what are the copays like?

Any info would be great..

On the truck Side do they number any special way ? Still have Apu, 1000 watt Inverter and nice seats?

 

No special numbering system just that they usually come in production runs of 100 at a time. Seems like each run has its own unique problems.
Apu on every truck.. 1500 watt inverter.. the 2014 has different seat. Told they are better but the old ones are nice. I always get my own mattress.
