Denali, the best way to answer your interest in Gordon is not with me, tow or joseph. Between the three, each has 1/2000th knowledge of Gordon (roughly 2000 seats), tow more than joseph and me because he's been with Gordon for four years. I would encourage you to sign up with Gordon yourself. Considering Gordon's size we have few who venture to chime in, say, compared with Con-way TL (see thread: http://www.thetruckersreport.com/tr...way-truckload-drivers-what-your-20-a-738.html).
Then bring your experience back here to TTR. I can say this. With your enforcement background, you won't gnash your teeth at Gordon for being told to run illegal. Won't happen. Personally, I'd welcome your contribution to the Gordon 'story'.

Figured as I'm down for the day, I'd take a moment and say hi...introduce myself as a new Gordon driver.
I've had my eye on Gordon since before I got my CDL. Been reading the forums for a few years, and Joseph's story here was actually a big help in my decision on where to drive. After getting my CDL, my exit from my 1st company was hastened by their decision to leave me sitting at one too many shippers with no help, no answers, and not much else.....
So with my 6mos experience, and the ink barely dry on my license, I've moved on to the greener pastures of Gordon.
In my 1st 2 full weeks here, I've ran just short of 3500 miles my first week, and a little over 2200 the second (34hr reset, and truck in the shop for a day slowed me down). I've not met one person, or talked to anyone with Gordon that hasn't been extremely helpful and polite. BIG improvement over my last gig. My truck is decent (albeit a little dirty when I got it), miles are great, and the planners are on top of things. I know 2 weeks is a little early for complete impressions...but so far, it's been great here. We'll see. But if Joseph's posts are any indication, not sure I'm in for any bad surprises.
Anyway, that's my story. Off to waddle into Pilot for some healthy pizza and nutritious soda. Continue my journey towards Ogden with my Hershey load in the AM.

the package deal is what I seek. Not miles or pay or APU or fancy paint jobs or...whatever. It all must be there - driver manager, planner, executive, maintenance technician, equipment, route structure - and when I find it, that will be The Final Company.Victor_V Thanks this.
