I've had pretty good luck with Delivering to Wall-mart DC's.

Now getting a load from a Wall-mart load consolidation contractor in Colton CA is another issue. They are on my Do NOT Dispatch list after 2 consecutive TONU (truck ordered not used). They are even more unprofessional than Americold...

Hence not telling safety, of course I put it on here and I know they read it. Lol. But it's a lot better that I rested all day. Still have pain but nothing like earlier. Now to get them to let me drop this at pontoon because I can't leave here till midnight and I am supposed to be at NIU at 7 pm. Good luck with all that. Have to drive 184 miles to Carthage and another 560 to Chicago. Lol. Good run, just can't do it legally.

Congrats, GreyHound! Starting at 40 cents means they're not regarding you as a 'Gordon' newbie or rookie. Some drivers with the 'right' background got 3000-3500 miles or more a week out the gate and a better rate. Typically a couple years with PTL or similar. You MUST keep us posted. : 0)

Lots of long-time truckers who thought themselves experienced got a rude awakening both pay-wise and the difference trucking the Gordon way.

    GreyHound Thanks this.

TOTALLY AGREE!! Why do Walmart DCs have to treat drivers like crap? Arrived at the Grandview, WA DC 20 min before appt time. But by the time i got to the window, they said I was late and would have to do a work in. I'm sure this story is not a new to many of you. My brother went thru the same thing on the east coast a few years ago. 8 hrs later, I rolled out of there tired, with no hours and no place to park. And they wonder why the OTR industry has such a high turnover...

I spend $240-300 a month buying food, clothes, toiletries, DVDs at Walmart. Why? because of convenience. NEVER AGAIN! DRIVERS, DON'T SHOP AT WALMART!! Will it make much of a dent to their bottom line? Probably not. But trust me, no retailer wants to alienate customers and millions of truckers shop at Wallyworld.

I am a Costco shopper now. I despise Walmart in so many different ways, from the way they treat us drivers and their own employees, their right wing politics, their insistence on getting tax breaks from every city they push their way into, doing whatever they can to destroy any competition and then raising their prices, to the joke of "Bring it home to America!" What a slogan. A slogan for stupid people. They are bringing cheap Chinese garbage to America. Costco. Everything about Costco I like, including the way they treat their employees and the way they make out time as drivers as a priority.
