We are successful just like those new drivers and others that have a good work ethic. You gotta learn how to work kid. And we do, and they do. Gordon Trucking has the miles. They have the equipment, the planners and everything in place to help you make money. What counts the most at the end of the day, however, is you. Hey, I screw up once in a while. We all do. But learning from that experience and improving on it is the key. I would say that Tow and I have the regular Gordon experience. They do have work if you're willing to do it. This is a company, that bought trucks with driver comfort in mind. This is a company that pays for your scale tickets on your comdata card to ease the burden on you. The terminals they are building have driver comfort in mind. There are not a lot of companies that actually think about the driver. This is one.
Will you get rich here? No. Can you live comfortably while employed here? That's up to you.tow614 Thanks this. -

Gonna add to what I posted. I've been accused of "painting a rosy picture". It's all I know. I don't know a Gordon that screwed me over. Granted, been here 7 months. But haven't seen it. I've been accused of "bragging about miles" also. Nothing to brag about. Just making money. Learn how to work and don't cry when you haven't and others have. I've been out here 12 years. And in those 12 years, I've worked quite a few different places. And I can say this honestly. I've only been screwed twice. Once by Merit Transportation, and the other by Virk Transport, a ten truck company out of Easton PA. Oh wait. Continental Express out of Little Rock. That company made me never want to work in the south ever again, and ten years later, I've stuck to that. Never again. They didnt screw me, but they made it so difficult for me because in their words, "you're just a Yankee". Well, ten years later I'm still rolling and making money and your Southern bumpkins butts are out of business with some of the top brass sitting in prison. Trucking, just like life is what you make of it. I don't ever have a bad time out here. Hence the fact I'm in a generally pleasant mood.
