If you drive 5 million miles for walmart it's time to retire..
Would be like 40 years... dont think walmart has been around that long...

Walmart Transportation recognizes drivers who have achieved the milestone of 3 million consecutive safe miles. With an average annual mileage of 125,000 miles, that equates to 24 years of professional Walmart Driving experience without a preventable accident!
In the almost 50 year history of the company, just over 30 drivers have received this recognition. The current program rewards this achievement by inviting the driver and his family into Bentonville for a special luncheon with company executives. During the program, a special black cherry colored tractor is presented to the driver, and it is theirs to drive until he/she leaves the company at which time it will be sold. The tractor is custom made by the manufacturer for the driver and includes a small plate on the driver side door which says so. The tractor includes an upgraded interior and several nice interior options not found on regular tractors. -
Ironic I just seen one if the 3 mill drivers today in Jax. Had a new Cascadia Evolution with a custom paint job and his plaque. Also had a thermo king unit that was all chrome. People can dislike Walmart all they want, but they really keep their drivers happy.

I'm one of those Walmart haters, but driving for Walmart isn't a bad gig at all. Guy in Jersey I know just started at $76,000 a year. That's a darned good job.

I don't care for their stores, but am continually amazed at the great things I read from their drivers about driving for Walmart People rarely leave, and that is the greatest sign of a good company IMO If you pay your drivers a great wage, treat them well, they rarely leave.

That's where Walmart Transportation shines. They do have a great package for drivers.

Say what you want but I am a Walmart guy..
I can get my prescriptions filled at any store and there are certain ones I always use.
The ones that have truck parking like Lexington. Neb.. plus the laundromat next door.. very convenient.
Several others I like....
Never have problems delivering there.. even when I used to run reefer...
Dry Van with Gordon is all drop and hook.. -
