******** THERE IS NO SCALE in Brewster, but STOP at the weight station, they leave the scale turned on (you have to peak in the scale house window to see it though) There is also a grain scale on your way to spokane you will pass, in the past they left the reader on 24/7 so I would stop there for a free scale. Most likely you will get pulled into the coop at the ID line, but they are very cool and will let you slide your tandems no problem as long as you arent over gross.
The scale house in MT is in the center median. It is usually open, but was under construction a few months ago.
If you have never stopped there, stop at Licon's Silver Dollar in MT (exit 30 or so). Tons of truck parking (You will fit under the underpass, dont worrk). Its worth the stop.
If you can push hard (or need a 30 min break) stop at the rest area in Bozeman, MT. They have free (and fast) wifi. Walk across the street into the shopping center and there is a Target and Costco.
I would usually take the little big horn cut off into SD, but if the weather is bad go through sheridan. (The sheradin rest area also has free wifi). There is crap for parking in Casper (good luck finding a spot, its a loves I think but you go in backwards). The good news is there is dedicated truck parking areas off the interstate on both sides of Casper (north and south) so you can always park there.
Once are in the Cheyenne area there is lots of parking, and NE is good too.DenaliDad, joseph1135, The Challenger and 2 others Thank this. -

Oh, and there is overnight parking in Chelan. You come up the hill, the shipper is on the left. Drive between the office and wherehouse and there will be a big dirt lot on your left, porta potty in the way back.
There is also a walmart I used to walk to (about a 1 mile each way). Go out, make a left on the highway, then a right on Appleseed (not sure, apple something), follow it, you will see the walmart at the top of hill. Its a super center so open 24/7. If you need groceries you will go past a safeway on you way to spokane, with plenty of room to park the truck along side the road.
DONT SPEED in the small towns, I see a truck pulled over every time. And if you want to kill some time BS'ing with a very cute girl stop for a cup of Joe at Coffee Strong. Cant miss it if you are lookingjoseph1135 and DenaliDad Thank this. -
Thank you cougfan! I've been to there a million times, never knew about all the places to park and the nooks and crannies everywhere. Been almost a year since I was really in Montana too, I'll be sure to check the Silver Dollar out. Thank you so much.
The Challenger Thanks this. -
Anytime
I never did find anywhere fun or cool on the rest of the route as I was always pushing hard to get there early enough for a 34.
If you end up going down on the 25, there is a rest area in Chugwater WY, about 90 minutes north of Cheyenne. Behind the rest area is a resturaunt/bar/hotel/general store (SMALL SMALL town) thats worth going to. The owner is a true character, she drove truck for 30 years and has great stories. They also will let you park your truck there to sleep in and have free wifi. (Always nice to have a back up in case the rest area is full). -
Not sure what happened, had a post from my conversation tonight but got stuck somewhere... waiting a couple of minutes to see if it eventually shows. I was on FJ wifi and switched back to verizon...we'll see...
