My new adventure with PTL

The pay is better, but I'm with Crusty. I hate all big cities and now, I hate driving a truck in hills.

I want my flatland North and South Dakota trips back. Waaaaahhhh!

 

Which is where I've been twice. This WEEK.

 

First full week miles (with my new FM): nearly 2,700. Not bad, driver.

 

Never again. Ever. Never.

 

So I brought my shipment of used-up batteries to the smelter here in Noo Yawk and got here early, hoping for a quick unload. No such luck.

You're early, she said.

Yes, I am, I said. I hope that's a good thing, I said.

Well, I will see what I can do for you, but we really want you within an hour or so of your 2330 appointment, she said.

Thank you for doing what you can, I said.

And I dropped my trailer and bobtailed to the Waiting Lot...where I wait. Perhaps for three hours until my 2330 appointment time.

Bummer.

 

I am in the empty trailer yard where I will pick up my full one in the morning. I've run out of time and I fully expect to be aroused early. <yawn>

PS. I wouldn't even think about trying to find a parking space in any public place in Newark at 0200...

I didn't like this place when I flew in here and I don't like it when I drive in here.
