I'm a little farther west now, about 30 minutes from my delivery tomorrow morning, and the temperature is 106. Sheesh... -
During this past week, I have learned an important lesson.
My APU works. It is, however, a very old machine with more than a thousand operating hours on it. When put up against temperatures exceeding 100 degrees in a sun that beats down mercilessly in a cloudless Texas sky, its ability to cool the interior, even with all windows covered, can be somewhat...oh, let's call it diminished.
I have my own fan helping circulate the cold air, which only comes out of one vent under my bunk, and the fan in the upper bunk area does a pretty good job keeping the very warm air at the top of the condo moving.
It's still plenty warm in here, but it's nothing like what's outside these covered windows in Central Texas, and for that, I am happy to have the APU operating.Big Ugly Thanks this. -
DD .. you should cool your truck down with your big motor before using apu...helps a lot
-
Ah, but it was cooled with the big motor. I just didn't do it as the heat increased.
-
when i had my condo kw the heat would get trapped up top
i would open top window put the fan there and suck out the hot air
close my bunk curtains and everything cooled off better
but nothing really cools off 110 heattsavory Thanks this. -
Just got this week's pay review and I'm just a few miles short of 3,000 for the week. Joseph would be happy...!
