Amen driver! I got out a while back and want to come back so bad I can't stand it, I miss it tremendously. Reading these threads does'nt help any but at the same time it's "why would I want to go back to this!".

I agree with you. If you aren't getting miles there is little reason to be driving. When you aren't getting miles the creature comforts, or lack of them, is secondary. Good luck

That is seriously unacceptable. How can they not know or find the Confirmation # on a load? It must be a broker load. It's one thing to forget to put the Conf# in your dispatch QC message before going home for the weekend. To spend a whole day looking for the number sounds like Keystone Kops.

Hey Smurf, I am getting closer to another gig. Total Transportation of Mississippi has giving me an invite to orientation. Superservice is in the mix as well. Sent an app to Watkins/Sunco, and Tribe (they got nice equipment). My DAC came up empty with Cargo, but I can't lie about the fact I was fired from there. I think that could catch up with me at some point. Honesty might have costed me some offers. Best to you all.

Tell the truth, but always make your action as a learning experience you will try to avoid in the future but in that situation you chose the lesser of two evils.

Stay away from Super Service. Tribe does indeed have nice equipment but I hear they can be hard to work for. So just ask a lot of questions before you get there. There is another company out of Mount Airy North Carolina they run reefers but have the nicest trucks I have ever saw and seem to be a pretty decent company. Mountain River Transport. Go to their website and check it out. I know a few guys who have driven for total out of Mississippi and they seem to be a fairly decent company. They are fully automatic and the pay seems to be pretty decent. Keep us posted man. And good luck.

I believe Total uses USX terminals, too. You should be a little familiar with them since you stint with Abilene.

Yep, I remember Olive Branch, US 78 in MS. NICE dropyard as I remember. Thanks RC. Anybody heard anything about Howell Motor Express out of Roanoke VA. I know they got a terminal in Portsmouth.

You mean (at Tribe) they will work me like a Mexican Slave?? And at Total, they had one of their drivers kill five student nurses down in Savannah while sexting about a year and a half ago. The company settled for 78 million, driver got 5 years in the clink. Guy had been fired at his previous company for a rollover while falling asleep at the wheel. Guess I'm a shoe in there.
