Yeah, the only time I get runs out that way seems to be in the winter. Go figure...

That is how I would run it. Also look at 2 from Nebraska city exit 10 on I-29 over to 80. It cuts out Omaha and is a good road. There are a few stop lights on the west end of it but is well worth it.

Oh come on! Where's your spirit for adventure?

Take 70 past Denver, then 6 over Loveland Pass(do it night in a storm, it's more fun), then 9 north to 40 west to 189 north, to 80 over Parley's Summit.

That's the route I took to train students for mountain driving. It's way more beautiful than 80, and less windy oftentimes.

My spirit for adventure left about 10 years ago. The less stress in my life the better at this point. I know, I am a party pooper.

Yeah I saw that. Looks like I can shave off quite a bit cutting across 2.

Lucky you. I've not gotten to that area of the country yet. Went through WY and MT on my way to Calgary a few months ago, but still haven't been through the rockies.

I may pass ya RD. I'll be heading back from Salt Lake on Tuesday, going to Markham. FYI, you are "suppose" to carry chains thru Parley Summit, in Utah. Of course, I don't have any. Be safe! Call me if you want to.

Is Parley Summit on I-80? How is the weather out that way right now?

I'll give you a call sometime today for sure.

Well it will probably be another 2 years before I see it again. I was pleasantly surprised when I found out.

Parley's Summit is on 80 just before you get to Salt Lake. Utah does an excellent job of keeping the roads clear. Wyoming does not. The weather looks good for the coming week. No worries!
