That was what I was thinking. If I got off at 5am, I would probably not get the proper rest I need because I am usually up 7-7:30am and wide open all day. I simply can't sleep during the day no matter how hard I try. So I did not see that working out too well for me.

I have been back on dedicated for little while now and I am home every weekend. Either off Friday-Saturday or Saturday-Sunday and see the house one night during the week. I have gained a little seniority on the dedicated so it looks like I may stay on it indefinitely. Which is fine with me. Plus I will get some more vacation time in August :)

I'm still here...heard we were getting another raise this year but the TM wasn't sure how much. He was guessing 3% since that has been the trend. It would be nice if it was a little more than that say like .50cpm?

.50 would be nice. When we went from .38 to .40 empty it was a big psychological boost, for me at least.

.50cpm would put us with Groendyke. That's what they get loaded mileage. I think they are at .38 empty though.

I haven't heard anything about a raise. I did read about us having to spend a bunch of money because somebody delivered the wrong product to the wrong tank at a plant and solidified it. Hope that doesn't affect a raise. That would be short sighted. Driver capacity is tightening up and lots of companies are starting to pay more. If Superior doesn't want to see a Schnieder like exodus of experienced drivers they need to keep up.

Agree with you 100%! These junky and neutered Pro Stars are starting to wear on me. I swear some of these companies have actually turned up their trucks. I am finding it hard to get around some of these other company trucks now that I used to could pass half way decent.

Looks like we'll be getting .50 loaded .40 mt starting oct. 6th. Hourly pay raise of 3%. Gotta say I'm really excited.

Manual, though the new Peterbilts have autos and I got the impression from the newsletter that the Macks will be automatic as well when they are able to install 2 ptos on them.
