I can tell you where the reset is..would be easier on the phone than me trying to explain it here.. i will pm my number if you want to call and will better explain how to clear the codes.. if you go to a gti shop expect to be there a bit...
DenaliDad Thanks this. -
Are you guys allowed to fix anything yourselves and turn in a receipt or does everything have to go to a shop? The reason I ask. My windshield washer pump went out on my trip to TX. I just stopped at a CARQUEST along US 281 and bought a replacement. Took about 15 min to install it. It cost all of $23.04 for the pump and some connectors.
I have yet to do a trip where not something breaks, falls off, shorts out, leaks or blows. With all the stupid little things I would be sitting more than running if I would have to go to a shop. I guess I could just ignore the problems on the trailers and pawn it off on the next guy like it happens to me.double yellow Thanks this. -
The windshield washer is now the Most Critical Item due to be fixed. And after a phone conversation with Bri, I now understand how to make that happen, which I will do as part of tomorrow's load.
There is no wonder why I continue to refer to myself as Student; clearly, I have much to learn. Thankfully, there are many teachers.truckinmike1984 Thanks this. -

Maybe I just for once looked like I knew what I was doing. -
Well, you probably do, but it's that grill. Pretty imposing and intimidating, if you ask me. Which you didn't

I am now in the Taylorsville Rest Area on I65N just outside (past) my pickup location in Columbus, IN. It was a pleasant -10 outside when I woke in the Sam's Club parking lot, and I am very happy th bunk heater and APU worked all night!
I'm here because I ran out of HOS70, having pulled in wasting a whole SIX minutes. I told Bri that I was going to run out several times yesterday and she told me to run it and we'll see how the hours go. Maybe she thought I'd been there long enough for a reset; well, I did get the two 1-5 a.m. slots but only 32 hours, so no reset.
Consequently, I'm here until midnight, when I pick up almost 12 hours. I will need them because I also am about to ask them to route me to Green Bay to get my one remaining safety issue fixed...my inoperative window washer. I'm not confident they'll go for that because my receiver is in Hammond, IN, and Indy is a whole lot closer. But Tow said its a better place to go for "speedy service," and that's what I want.
I will also need 2 gallons of oil to replace what I've used - I hope they replace oil in GB since it's not a GTI facility - but the good, no GREAT news is there are NO WARNING LIGHTS on my dash! APU regen - Completed, light out. APU Status light - Off. Man, I feel powerful, having whipped this puppy into shape.
Uh huh. Until the next one.
