You should have emphasized that you needed 2 hrs to complete a reset and she would have let you done it i am sure..sometimes you have to think for your dm because they get overwhelmed and dont realize the obvious..
On your way through indy just stop at the yard and take your oil jugs into the shop and they will fill them for you along with washer fluid if you need it...
Stay warm out there.....boy did i pick a good week to be at home....lol

To make a long series of emails back and forth a bit shorter, let me say this: the load was pulled, an explanation was given, calls were mad to the other driver, and finally what I can only describe as a VERY exasperated email from my DM saying I'm back ON the load for delivery using the new delivery time tomorrow sometime.
I can just imagine the scene in that dispatch office in Indy. The changes happening, the new freight lines and authorities, and the new bosses making themselves known commodities must be putting a huge stress on the employees. Having email as the primary means of communication is good under those conditions.
And she knows about my need to get to a shop. Being The New Guy, I'm trying to find the balance between being my normal assertive self and what a woman I was married to characterized as a RPITA. I empathize with them and do NOT want to be the cause of headaches; they have enough.
So now off to sleep for a few hours in hopes of a successful northbound flight of fancy. -
And yes, you did pick a good week not to be driving, especially down South. Wow. -

I'm waking up to a sunny day in the drop lot at a Walmart DC in Hammond, IN. I'll soon leave to go pickup a load at International Paper nearby and then I'll be draggin' the wagon over to Cedar Rapids and dropping it in the General Mills parking lot.
For some reason, I, too, am having difficulty getting to Indy. Or any GTI shop to get my window washer fixed. Everybody knows about it but somehow, the key hasn't been found yet. Who knows...maybe it will keep the nasty snow-salt away for a while. That would be good, no?
