and actually, it's more than 1800 miles with the fuel solution and more like sniveling, not so much complaining.

I'm spending the night in a Bosselman Truck Stop near Grand Island, Nebraska tonight. It's a good one to be heading this way; watching the weather develop behind me is fine with me. I'm sure I'll be heading back into it soon enough.

And this is the first place in a long time that I've found doesn't have AT&T internet connectivity. It's frustrating and infuriating, especially when trying to access weather maps for Idaho, Wyoming, Utah, and Oregon. You know. Places known to have some "winter?" But hey...why would I need to see a map, anyway?

Enjoy the load, The weather was great when I was out there. Now Im at home for 5 days home time. Out at 0900 on the 6th. and hoping to get back out west or south west. Doing laundry and drinking a micro brew from Texas called Texas Red. The son in law gave me for christmas. Good taste to it.

If your out west you can be there untill a week or 2 before your home time. My first week out there was 3100 miles. Have fun running out west.

I've made it to Rock Springs where I'll spend the night. The delivery is for Tuesday and I have plenty of time. I haven't been here for 20 years but I did find the KOA Campground I stayed at with my much-younger family, but the area is a WHOLE lot different.

618 miles and 10.6 hrs drive time today. Not bad for a 60-mph truck.

I'm not scheduled for hometime until the end of February so who knows what they'll do with me. I won't mind staying out of wintery weather, if possible.

I think you will stay out there for another week or so then start you heading back.

Trust me stay out as long as you can the only thing at home is a lot of snow....

That I know, unfortunately. I'm in Twin falls, Idaho and the temp is 34! Downright balmy and shorts weather.

Twin Falls, Idaho. The last stop before my delivery Monday night. I anticipates some bad weather that didn't show up, so I have a pretty good wait here. No worries. I'll drop this Heartland trailer and see what's in store for me.

I did see an interesting sight on the way. Two Gordon trucks pulling Lynden Transport trailers. I noticed them because when I was living and working for the FAA in Anchorage, the unit I headed had oversight for Lynden's worldwide aviation activities.

What's a bit surprising is that I'm taking a Heartland trailer on an 1,800 mile trip. I didn't think they went that far West. Guess that shows the value of taking information on the Internet as "true." It's okay with me, though. This truck has regen'd twice and the washer and APU have performed as designed.

    Life is good.

You must remember that there is no more gordon freight and heartland freight.. only heartland freight..

the fact that you are pulling a heartland trailer is no longer relevant to shippers.

they no longer see a.difference so when they are loading a trailer to them they are all heartland trailers now and will load whatever they have...
