I'm sitting in a VERY crowded TA in Cheyenne for my break. What with 35 mph speed limits, 65 mph crosswinds, blowing snow, and crazzzzy ### truck drivers not paying attention to things and ending up in the ditch - I must have seen 25 of them between SLC and Cheyenne - the drive took many more hours than I planned. So instead of being at or near my next fuel stop in Nebraska, I'm still in Wyoming.

And I'm pretty sure the DM's aren't all that happy with the new ETA...Thursday, not Monday. Well, I guess late is still better than the other companies drivers who won't be making their deliveries at all. I just hope to avoid them while they careen down the interstate, bouncing off one another.

Here's the bright side: I didn't have to chain again - small victory! - and I'm not in the Midwest yet. Yippee.

I just lost an ENTIRE post. I hate it when that happens. There's no way I can redo all five paragraphs or so.

So are you guys getting the shut down messages from safety? I got shut down in Arkansas Friday night until noon on Saturday. And since there are no chains on my truck that was probably a good thing.

Me, no shutdown messages. But I'm no longer in inclement weather.

Gordon never did shut down messages... they always hired professionals who knew how to drive...or at least had sense enough to shutdown without being told......

I hate those companies that monitor every move your truck makes and calls you when you stop: wanting an explanation...

wasn't a dig at you bumper... don't take offense....

    Bumper Thanks this.

I remember the first Cascadia that I looked at. The profiling on the back wall of the sleeper knocks a HUGE amount of the noise down, both because it doesn't oil-can as much as a flat wall (and what oil-canning it does is in small doses at different frequencies), and because the flat walls that most trucks have had would "pino-pong" road and engine noise back and forth between tractor and trailer, while the profiling aims the sound reflections away at an angle.
