On second thought DD ... stay away from California. .. all the bad weather seems to be following you...

at least dont come down on 40 .. stay on 80 and keep that stuff up there....

That's where I'm going, too. Me and my Red and White trailer. The poor check-in guy had to scratch out GORK and write in the Heartland code, whatever it is. He said he was sorry. I told him no worries; there are aquatint day cabs in Florida with the Heartland name on the door already. Sad looking trucks, actually.

Ah, but I'm going more south this time. I80, 76, and 70 to Denver, then I15 to Grand Junction, St. George, and Rancho...my old stomping grounds from 30 years ago. No Donner Pass Me The Chains Please this time! And I have a normal trailer, so the Ike isn't going to be a problem (hear that, weather gods?!?).

So I'll be late for home time and have a pretty nice paycheck to show for it. Not bad pickin's, actually. Being single, I don't have any appointments to get home to, so I told my DM that HT is almost always flexible. But when I take it in OKC a couple times a year, it won't be flexible! Seeing grand babies is critical to my mental stability, know whudda mean, Vern?

Oh, and I hate it when this happens:

Somewhere along the line in the past few days, I must have opened my wallet and been stupid because I lost four $20 bills. Yup. $80 gone. Oh, well. I hope someone finds the loot. I found $100 in a Walmart parking lot in Anchorage many years ago, so it's time for me to pay it forward. But I must figure out how to get money without using these stupid expensive truck stop ATM machines. I hate them.

Yup. I hate it when that happens.

Yeah, but 70 is no walk in the park. Vail & Eisenhower? 11,000 ft elevations. You'll be chaining. Lol.
