I am amazed that in this age of information, micro-management, and knowing everything about everything, that something like this can happen and can not be appealed. DD, I wish you Godspeed in resolving this and restoring yourself. Keeping a prayer and a good thought.

Thanks, Packard. Restoring myself will be the big challenge. As for resolving it, well, I'm pretty sure it's resolved, though I still have some phone calls to make and my guess is the company will be chatting with me, too.
As a long-time Navy buddy of mine eloquently put it, this whole #### thing sucks. Just. Plain. Sucks.
PS. It can't be appealed because that's the way the Michigan Legislature wrote the law. It's the same law that applies to drunk driving convictions...no appeal except on matters of the law itself. That is not the case here.48Packard Thanks this. -
Hey DD,
Like the others, I am devastated and so sorry about what has happened to you. I have thoroughly enjoyed your daily posts about life on the road with Gordon Trucking. You will definitely be missed.
I'm thinking perhaps that things might get worked out. Surely, injustice cannot reign, and you will have your rightful position restored to you. So, hang in there, and don't give up hope.

DD I wish you the best, don't stop posting, I started a new thread for ex-GTI. I hope and I know it will all work out. Keeping you in my thoughts buddy.

By the way, for those GTI drivers in the Grand Rapids area, there is an empty trailer at the 76th St Truck Stop. Check with your DM if you need one.

I'm curious why Gordon/Heartland didn't get the word about your suspended license. I thought they kept track of those kinds of things with their drivers.

Employee is contractually responsible for their license staying in good standing, and notifying employer if it is not.
As a back up the info would be "discovered" :
the next time employer does a driver fitness evaluation where they would pull another history report and find the problem.
Perhaps from a review of the monthly CSA points if incident involved their DOT number which could start the driver fitness evaluation. -
Do you mind sharing what the infraction was in Wyoming? And since you promptly paid, I am assuming ticket not bail, I'm not really sure what went down. Sorry, I'm just a bit lost on this.
"Hang - Man" Thanks this.
