Can you yard jockey somewhere nearby or work in the office for a trucking outfit, or truck brokerage? Are you able to collect UI? (Hopefully!)

No on both accounts. I checked with a couple of the food distributors and one of the customers I had a good relationship with; they all require a valid CDL.

    Gordon announces new pay scale:

We are pleased to announce a new, increased pay package for all Drivers! Check out our starting pay rates below. This is in addition to a comprehensive accessorial pay schedule featuring paid dock detention after only one hour, add a penny for all miles if you have a hazmat endorsement, add another $0.04 per mile for any miles run in Canada if you chose to go there, and another penny for our annual safety bonus!

That would be great if they would give you miles. Not gonna happen with heartland at the helm.

I got the Quallcom message in my truck this morning and then the email a few hours later. 3cpm beats a poke in the eye with a sharp stick. I have got to sit down one of these days and figure out what my miles are weekly. I have them all written down just havent added them up as of yet.

I am still thinking it was a better decision than Knight.....

So would I get that penny for hazmat if on the refer fleet?

Oh, wait, it does not matter. I pay myself more per mile, pay the wife a little bit per week, and the maintenance account is growing.

Think I'll stay rolling with this gig.
