That's a good way to attract drivers. They're still a little light on cpm, though. Without divulging the carriers yet, the two in which I'm interested have a pay scale that has my starting pay at what would be Gordon's 8-year pay...and their trucks have a fridge and microwave, to, though only one has a diesel-powered APU; the other is an electrical APU, something with which I'm not that familiar. My guess is their focus is both on attracting drivers and keeping them.

One down, one to go. My application was "rejected due to a license suspension not related to child support..." Imagine that. I can be a deadbeat dad and get hired.

Well, this is interesting. A company called me asking if I was interested in doing flatbed because that's the only position they have open hiring in Michigan. I've never done flatbed and never considered it, thinking I'm too old to be climbing all over a truck, especially in inclement weather.
But I'm not sure I should turn anything down. I guess I'll give it some thought. -
Well, even Gordon denied my application. The company who knew the truth about what happened. But much has changed in the last year over there, so there will be no more Gordon Trucking Inc in my future; it's on to other endeavors.
