Sí. Them, too. In fact, I checked in with about 15, including all the companies anyone gave me. Turned down by every single one, so I went to Western. The process of accepting my application took mere hours.

The crap you're going through bugs me. You had a good record up to the one incident. To me you're ahead of the new drivers and should be able to go with a trainer for awhile. Is the age factor is affecting your chances? Some here will say no but I'm starting to wonder.

Maybe something will shake out of the PM I sent. You deserve for something to go right. I gave you a few more "darts" I just hope one sticks.

Age isn't a factor and I got into this all by myself. Well, not exactly "all by myself;" I did have some help, but paying the Wyoming fine started it all. Lesson learned...if I had to do it all over, there would have been a lawyer and a court appearance.

If there is a next time, there will be. And I do get a week with a flatbed trainer after the securement class. I'm looking forward to it.

I enjoyed reading all these posts. Going to start with gordon soon. Went to swift, their doctor found i had a hernia, they sent me home. They said get it fixed and come back. Got it fixed, but decided to try Gordon instead. I just got my cdl. Hope things work out for me

Keep your eyes open and your mouth closed. Stick it out a year - and doing so sounds a whole lot easier than it is - and you should succeed. You're getting your initial taste during a pretty good time of year, weather wise...well, except for Wyoming which seems to have winter 10 months of the year!

Good luck to you, driver. There are many bad stories being told about all kinds of companies in this business. Don't listen to them and don't spend too much time on TTR. Pay attention to your trainer and ask questions. You have a lot to learn.

Gordon is a much better company to work for that swift. Even after the buyout. Swift is simply that bad.
