This is for new authority, I didn't do alot of checking around. But progressive told me $20k a year, i wish i would lol. I was hoping for $1k & under, but like i said i didn't do alot of checking around yet. What do you guys think, would you accept this for starting new authority or pass??

I went thru Progressive when I got started and it was around 18k for the year . Second year it dropped to about 13k . I had no other choice at the time , never had a issue but this year will shop it around. I'm told it will drop again by my agent , fingers crossed .
86scotty, OLDSKOOLERnWV and kenn2632 Thank this. -
I know one of my bosses used to go to a co-op type insurance it was through a credit union a bunch of owner-operators got together on a insurance co-op type thing he said it was way cheaper than going direct I don't know if that's available around where you live.
Plus he was kind of local dirt hauler so maybe it's different for over the road.kenn2632 Thanks this. -

Guys have posted a lot higher rates than that from progressive. Sometimes I think they throw out a # to see If it sticks, with the influx of new entrants. If its all you can do i'd run with it. Not bad at allOLDSKOOLERnWV and kenn2632 Thank this.

Try raising deductibles to 2500 and see what it does.
kenn2632 Thanks this. -
Why would you not take a little time and call around and see what the best rate you can get is?
kenn2632 Thanks this. -
