I have never needed different temperature in the cab and the bunk. I have a temperature control and a fan knob in the bunk, but I do not think it turn on the air condition or heating. I will try to check it.
I did not purchase the extended warranty yet, but I know for sure it is priced separately, so I do not see why you should not be able to purchase so. However, I do consider to buy only together, but I have not decided yet. In the first year you can do it for the same price, in the second year for 400$ extra. I checked it, the heating works separately. I guess the A\C suppose to work too, since it has start button in the bunk too, but I could not make it work. Maybe too cold already. I do not know.
deming807 and Globetrotter Thank this. -
Did you check to see if the cab AC button was on? If ours isn't on in the cab then we have no AC in the bunk. I'm hoping the 680 isn't the same as our 600, because that would really cut down on truck/household arguments!

I guess the very same in every truck though. Cabin and bunk system are not completely individual. Cabin controller is "master/host" and bunk controller is "slave". Same #### in volvo.

Yup, the button works. Nice blue.

I swear our first 2 trucks, both freightliners, bunk systems weren't dependent on the cab AC being on. I don't remember hubby and I have this little AC argument until we moved into our KW. I guess theres worst things for us to get huffy about while in the truck and out on the road for weeks at a time, our AC war is pretty much it!

How come? You are trying to say there are two independent AC compressors? Thats not possible.
-
Actually I have two and work separately. With an extra pack of batteries.

Thats an APU. Thats another story.

Have you heard if the 6x2 in the 2015 model is improved? Would you get it today?
