John, has your mpgs increased any on your international since your purchase, or are you still maintaining your average you posted in the past. thanks
Over the last two months I've followed my mileage somewhat closely. It appears that as long as I don't idle I get between 6.2-6.8 mpg when loaded heavy and the terain, and 7+++++mpg when loaded light. Depending on how much I have to idle, I will lose as much as a .05mpg.
Have you been getting decent lately? Since Evertruckerr has dissapeared, I'm been searching for some good info on crete. I hope to join crete in june of '10. I would like to throw your name out to the recruiters when i talk to them an fill out my application. I'll try to keep my dumb questions to a minimum. Thanks
Let me make sure that there is no misunderstanding as to the purpose of this thread, it is for information purposes only, based on my personal experience as an o/o leased to Crete. Others, and your, experience may vary. It is not ment for recruiting. That being said, I can not stop someone from using my name as a reference. To answer your question about getting decent miles lately, yes I have. 2789 last week, 3380 this week. You may want to ask recruiting about the NE dedicated fleet since you live in the D.C. area. The only dumb question is the one you don't ask.
You do not need to have your own authority to lease on at Crete. However, they are not hiring o/os at this time. They are only hiring current company drivers who want to become o/os.
I'll be working out of Denver! 34 years of the Capitol Beltway is enough for me. I have been following the trucking business for 4 years now, so it not a spur of the moment thing for me. I'm going into this industry debt free including my house and 3 years of savings. Your posts have been a great part of a puzzle that i'm putting together, for that I thank you.
You have done some very wise things to prepare for your transition. Excelent job! Out of Denver Crete offers a Western Fleet. Your welcome.
I guess helps to be single with no kids. Otr is my goal for now, than OO. With my current profession I work 6-8 weeks in a row, so being away from home is no problem and most of my family lives right off of I-81 so to drop in with out home time should not be a problem.
Do you know of any drop yards in the denver area? I wanted to use denver as a base of operations for home time, so crete has to send me out there. Kind of what ET does out in Phoenix.
