My plan and i need opinions

My truck has an 18 speed and I would never have any different. I heavy haul at 140k lbs or more all the time but even if I was 80k lbs I would have an 18 just for the options in shifting.

 

Ya their one of the few things we over think! Buy the way I have a 9900I International and it been a real good truck. The KWs seam to be good trucks too. I think you will be happy with either.

 

I have two trucks, one has a 3406E at 550 with a 13 speed, and our newer 05 379 has a 550 acert with an 18 speed. We haul between 86k and 115k. I wouldnt consider anything less than a 13 speed.

 

yeah! in lower range position splitter is not neccessary usually!

 

As most of the men have said, you will like an 18. They have stated most of the reasons and they are 100% correct. As one said, usually dont have to split the bottom, but it is there if you need it. I doubt i will ever have anything else, unless someone comes up with something better(aint gonna hold my breath waiting)....
