The truck payment on a brand new evo on a two year lease purchase is $1040, if I remember my discussion with Success accurately.

That's before the other charges that go along with it. Thing is, I was looking at the numbers, and by not gaining any equity, I was losing on the opportunity cost.

On a standard, three year straight lease, you pay in roughly $200,000. On a lease purchase, you're looking at closer to $150,000, with equity gain and increased earnings at the two year mark.

So if my math is correct, your total weekly payment is around $1400.

Is it a 3 year purchase plan or 4. Is there a balloon at the end agreement or is the truck yours outright when you're done? Can you still walk away if it's going bad for you or is it like doing to an actual freightliner dealership and setting up financing with them?

    Thanks,

    Redoctober

I start with Prime this Monday they quoted me 750 a week while training and .47 cents a mile to start. I do however have to do 30,000 mile with a trainer.

You can choose between three or four. You can choose the option to have a balloon payment at the end for lesser weekly payments, or higher weekly with a $100 buyout. It is a walkaway lease, just like their others. Difference is that you put money down first. Still no credit check, but also no credit reporting.

Hey, AuNaturel, Thanks for the great information and advice. I am about to make a decision to either attend the US Truck Driving School here in Colorado, and apply to Prime, or to go to Prime's program in MO. I am VERY interested in finding the right Trainer to work with, who knows how to run as a Company Driver, be the most efficient, and therefore hit all the fuel, safety, and other bonus marks routinely. I am leaning towards skipping the 3 wk USTD school here, and just going right in with Prime, as this seems to be both a money saver and a better track toward guaranteed work. It also seems the smarter way to learn the BEST way to learn Prime's system for success. I just joined this group to reply to your post from a couple years ago, so I'm hoping your'e still operating and training with Prime. Please let me know at your earliest convenience. Thanks, and stay safe!
