For one, I prefer to work with veterans, particularly those with deployment experience.

If not that, young folks with no experience who are eager to learn.

I understand that completely. I read that you mentioned you were a submariner for several years, I believe? That is awesome! Thanks for your service! I will be a young, eager driver when I apply to Prime. Hopefully everything falls into place. I will keep you updated, if you would like. Also, I'd like to thank you for your referral, so I'm sure you may know my progress anyway!

Do you, JimmyBones - or anyone else for the matter - know much about CDL permits and CDL licensing? My exact question is that I'm from NY. If I were to go to Prime, I would have already gotten my permit before making my journey to Prime. So, once I'm ready to take my CDL road-course (for my license) how does that work? Would I get a Missouri License on a New York Permit? Hopefully that question isn't too confusing, as I'm confused by it, but it did sound better in my head :p

    I understand.

NY permit-> MO license-> NY license later.

Thanks for that! Would I have to re-take my CDL license in NY then?

No clue. Ask your local DMV. Every state is different.

To HS 19, the answer to your question is covered in the N.Y.S. Com. Driver Manual, although not directly, need to read between the lines,i know don"t say it,remember the rules, section 1, 1.3.1-residency requirement, even though it says"after establishing residency" ignore that,as you already are, still it than says "apply to exchange a c.d.l. issued by another jurisdiction for a n.y.s. c.d.l.(reciprocity) ", an the way i read it make sure you do it within the 30 day"s. The rest is self explanatory as far as (Haz-Mat) goes, hope that helps you out.
