My private car was involved in an accident and I plan to take the CDL exam.

If there is no ticket or police report it should not show up on your MVR.

Very experienced truck drivers and truck owners have already answered your questions.
If you start talking about that during a job interview, you won't be hired because they'll think something is wrong with you. "Why is this guy talking non-sense about things we're not interested in?"

Agree. Often, a new driver's worst enemy is his own mouth. Just keep your mouth closed, and don't offer any information above what they ask. You have no accidents CHARGED against you.

    Chinatown and Numb Thank this.

While it won't be on his MVR, the insurance industry maintains their own database. When a prospective company runs a driver through their insurance company, they will likely see the accident.

Not sure I ever heard of that, but I trust your judgement.
That said, if it ever comes up, you go, "Oh, that? no tickets, no citations. Didn't think it was a big deal.".

    Chinatown Thanks this.

I've literally never comes across a company that pulls insurance records... literally all that ever gets looked at is a person's MVR as managed by the state their license is in, and maybe their DAC if the company is especially ### backwards

Yep and mine will note it on the report we get and that's it. unless there is a fatality or a massive amount of money involved, it doesn't matter.
