Last one back buys dinner the first night?

I bet both of you can't wait to get into your own truck so you can start making yourself at home instead of a guest in someone elses.

 

I'm guessing your team hasn't been assigned a truck yet if you two are still out on the road with your trainer. Any idea what it might be when you do get it?

 

I think all the teams are using the Kenworths.

I am just finishing up my 3rd week here and so far I am enjoying my time. They are trying to get people more training time and they did hire a new trainer recently. So, hopefully things will move along a bit quicker. There is even talk about range times on Saturdays in the next couple weeks or so.

I just moved into the dorm after getting real tired of dealing with the hotel in Greenfield. I couldn't do laundry out there because the dryers leave your clothes soaking wet even after running them through several times. Then the shuttle bus is just a total pain in the ###.

After getting to the school late on Wed. because they driver didn't even show up at the hotel until 7:30 (he is supposed to start running at 6:30 but never does) then having to wait till 6:30 that afternoon for him to show up at the school (instead of 5 like he supposed to) I decided to get a dorm room. This was on top of the fact that the bus has broken down twice since I have been here.

Moral of this story is that if you get here and they stick you out at Greenfield start checking with the dorm desk to get a room when they open up. You will be much happier.

I would also recommend trying to get Brian for your road time he is a really awesome teacher and keeps things light and relaxed. Unlike "the screamer"

 

Hi my name is Chris and i recently decided to go back to truck driving school, my story is November 2012 i decided i wanted to become a truck driver, i studied on and off from November of that year to April 2013 and i went to CR England truck driving schoool and cram as much as i can from my general knowledge, air braks and combo but i can into this school without knowing about taking the Indiana state oper test and i couldn't do it, i took the test 2 times and had 7 wrong each time and spent last than a week throught the program and sent home.

So this time i dedided to take a diffrent way of doing this, i decided to study all the materal that i got back in 2013 from CR England, go over the CDL manual, take a few pretest online and spend 2 to 4 hours a day the next month or longer everyday studying for the permit and pretrip, this time i want to go back and try to get this done.

Does anybody have any comment of what i should go over and any websites or links of test that might help me, i did put in my app today and expect a phone call back tommorrow or tuesday, Hope the best for me

 

I am set to start training on Monday. Very excited as well as very nervous.
