Yeah how dare they forget or get busy while running a multi million dollar logistics business in the middle of the day. You should’ve been the number one priority.

Lol well, there's definitely two ways to look at that. On the one hand, if you really want the job, you'll wait. On the other, if they really want to hire someone, they'll have their schedule together. Could have been a warning as to how disjointed the terminal is.
-
I can see that with somebody just walking in off the street, but a scheduled appointment should have been attended to. Somebody could’ve took 5 seconds to at least acknowledge the fact that he was waiting.
-
It could depend on the circumstances of where exactly they had him wait and how he checked in. Most of the last few interviews I’ve been to had me sit in reception, 10 feet away from the receptionist. Kinda hard to forget about me when I’m right there.
My favorite was at US Foods, they had me wait in the break room and people kept stopping to talk and tell me not to take the job.Mooseontheloose, autopaint, Love7 and 10 others Thank this. -
Cracka, please.
Yes, absolutely, the folks at that particular terminal are totally running the entire company and if you expect to be treated like a human being, well then Chuck U. Farley, you're just gonna have to wait until we get to you.
If you 'forget' about me, it tells me exactly how much my effort is going to be valued at your company. I work for a particularly enormous multinational organization(I'm pretty sure you're familiar with them
), and during the entire interview/hiring process, I was NEVER 'forgotten' about.
Sorry, these companies need competent, intelligent professional drivers way more than we need them. If you treat me like a number from the git-go, then go find a guy who Swift fired after a month for running over a busload of nuns, and put him behind the wheel. Let me know how that works out for you in the long run. -
There was a guy at ABF who walked into the room where I was waiting for my interview, and he said if you get this job, you can forget about life outside of those green trucks. I thought he was joking.
He was not.autopaint, speedyk, LPjunior1970 and 6 others Thank this. -
No I was referring to that terminal as it’s own multi-million dollar business. It’s obviously not ok to forget about an interview, but terminal managers get busy. I would have made some attempt to remind them that I was there instead of stewing in silence for 30 minutes and walking out. Especially in these times where not everyone is hiring and there are plenty of drivers looking to stay close to home.Gearjammin' Penguin, USMC 3531, Texas_hwy_287 and 1 other person Thank this.

When I did my interview at 042 Carlisle multiple guys told me what a great job I was getting. I hired in at the beginning of a hiring blitz. Start time bid after a year, 5 day bid now 2 days a week in a motel. Best job I ever had. Most home time I ever had in my career, location matters.

How many LH drivers do you guys have out of that terminal? That terminal sure is big.
