Saia feels you are too stupid to do what other truckers have always done since before most of the knuckleheads that made such an idiotic declaration were even born.

Are you allowed to use a headset at Saia?

    McUzi Thanks this.

Nope. No headset, no phone, no cb.

Now, that’s not to say people don’t use them, lots play the risk v. reward game by using them and figuring their chances of setting off the camera might not be that great.
Roads in the northeast suck, so I don’t even tempt fate to trust a pothole or something won’t set the truck gestapo machine off.

They would have been better off doing nothing , the amount of belly aching on the FB page proves that point, for one solid week it's been all about those ####ing coasters!

That group in general is a sour group. You could give them all a sack of gold bars and they’d be #####ing about how heavy it is.

Part of that perception is likely due to the far fewer drivers on the road in comparison to competitors. For example, on FMCSA Safer, FedEx Freight has a total of 866 crashes reported over the last 24 months across 22370 drivers, resulting in a rate of each driver contributing 0.038712561466249 crashes to the company record over that same time.

When compared to Saia having 323 crashes over 24 months with 5523 drivers, the math works to be a contribution of 0.058482708672823 crashes per driver to the company record.
FedEx Freight does not restrict cb usage, prohibit Bluetooth communications or have driver facing cameras and has a better crash record than Saia.

Second week of having a scheduled bid in the books as I took tonight off for my wife's birthday.

I'm putting in an average of 2.75-3.25 hours of hostler work in the yard before leaving the hub to go home every night.

So, being that the 400 mile hub turn plus the yard work makes for a long evening, I've also renewed my old Copenhagen habit lol.
