I am leased to sammons. and i can verify they are a good company. on 1/15/13 i was tarping a load from hell, it was raining in houston, my ladder slipped and i fell approx. 6'. i broke my wrist, and sammons has helped me out so much. i reccomend sammons as a company to lease to.

I'm surprised they don't have a waiting list of drivers wanting to lease on with them.

Anyone know if Sammons will take a "large car" tractor, newer? 304inch WB with 120" sleeper?

Well one of our current heavy haul 4 axle is putting a 90" bunk on his trk.
Dead wght might kill you on some of the lds., but that is your choice.
Call Stacy in Recuriting and talk with her. She can give you the answers.
You got a flat step or rgn trl.?
If running an rgn call Dave at the Davenport, Ia. office.
He's the heavy haul terminal boss

Thanks for the response. I called recruiting and they said the same thing. I used to own a 110 inch sleeper truck when I had my own authority, pulled a step deck with it. 300 inch WB shower, kitchen, etc. I could still scale over 46,000 lbs with it. I took a 46,500 lb load from port of Long Beach to Denver of elevator steel plating, pulled it no problem.

How have things been there recently? Getting enough loads? I think sammons is a good fit for me and my business model and I'm going to move forward in the recruitment process.

    Thanks again for your input.

    Robert
