And you're the reason why they keep doing the bs... Keep making excuses for them and things will never get better.. There is no excuse for manipulation of loads and cancellations on Fridays when you know the weekend of shot for us at that point... But I'm done with the conversation just figured I'd post the video..

Yep, dude i was up there for what seemed like a lifetime, once i left i was like ohh this is what it feels like to drive a truck lol. And you nailed it, the loads still pay good, but with the load count being way less, its hard to stay on a 2 load a day diet. I kinda feel like really going crazy and head west for a bit. See how life is on the WESTSIDE!

I don't think us justifying it or not makes a difference, and I don't think thats what he was doing. Im sure we can all agree that times here are tough atm. Whether its related to Schneider growing the program too quickly or if it's because of the down economy, or a mix of both. He is right that running any business is tough, we all understand that. I agree that if Schneider is manipulating the load board then obviously that isn't right, but reality is aslong as this program is at such high demand they have the upper hand. I haven't been here nearly as long as you, i can only compare it to 15 months ago, and even then it was easier. Time will tell, I remain positive because aslong as im here i just need to make the best of it.

I have been an avid reader of your posts T_trucker since the UZ trans days. I might be taking a company position to start with UZ because they told me they can put me in a 15 Volvo with .43 cents a mile to start. I was planning on banking my money then role over to the SNI choice program. Ironically I started my career with SNI in 2007 at .34 cents a mile fresh out of the Carlisle PA training academy. Looks like SNI is playing games and back in 07 they were inconsistent to say the least so I am apprehensive. I look forward to seeing if things improve for you. Thank you for all you have shown me about the business side as I have yet to be a Lease purchase guy and was always afraid because I have heard the horror stories. You have given me hope!

Also T trucker I see you haven't posted in almost a month. How are things with the SNI choice program today? I want to work for UZ but I am still undecided there are alot of offers on the table at this point for me. I have done local or regional work for years. Caregan transport out of Richmond IN is offering me a cheap lease purchase on a 2012 Freightshaker for 200 a week. Their program is not a choice load board like yours but they do put 5 percent in maintenance escrow weekly and said they have problem letting it go into the negative and I simply pay it back. The recruiter told me examples of two drivers one ran almost 4,000 miles last week and Netted 2,300 after all expenses and another driver who ran 2,400 miles who netted 1,300. Doesn't seem as lucrative as your numbers with SNI choice but I guess I am torn about jumping in with Caregan or starting off company with UZ trans. Can I gross 1,500 regularly pulling dry box as a company driver for UZ currently? I know you are not there but any info is helpful. Maybe you know some guys currently there? Keep me posted on SNI choice because doing a bunch of good paying short hauls in the northeast and midwest sounds like it is right up my alley in the future! Thanks again seriously

4,000 miles and only netted $2,300???? That's like company driver money. I would NEVER consider a company that hauls such cheap paying freight. Sorry to jump into the middle of the thread, but that doesn't add up.
