My Schneider National journey....

    Okay, I figure I might as well start documenting my journey in a separate thread. I will be going to the Fontana OC and staying at the Best Western in Ontario, CA. I am choosing to drive my car and they said they will reimburse for gas. I guess I have to leave my car at the hotel and use the hotel van for transport to the OC. I was hoping I could use my car and park it there especially while out with the TE, but no biggie. I just got my packing list and final papers, so right now I am trying to tie up all loose ends and pack. I am both excited and nervous!

    In Green Bay, they didn't want the people in the hotel drive to the OC either, due to there being limited amounts of parking. But, if you lived near the OC, and didn't stay at the hotel, you were allowed to drive, and park, at the OC.

    Thank you for starting and updating this thread. I live in Los Angeles and am finishing up getting my CDL A. I am looking into Schneider and will follow this thread with anticipation!

    They said the same at the west memphis oc, but we were told if we drive to park in the back of employee parking, out was not a big deal.when class starts at 7 and shuttle leaves at 530, you'll want to drive

    Thanks for the support and hopefully this thread can help many others starting out. I am busy packing and last minute shopping, but I need to start earning a pay check before I do much more shopping :biggrin_2554:. I am curious about phone or tablet apps. As a schneider driver what apps do you all find the most helpful? Or must have gadgets to help with the job or for comfort?

    Allstays Truck & Travel on iPhone is one of my most used. I also like to use the CATScale one to find scales. Also, when I find a truck stop on Allstays, I'll go to the truck stop's own app (if it's a chain truck stop) like Pilot, TA or Loves, and see how big the lot is, what kind of food they have, etc.

    That is some good info there Female Driver. I just downloaded all those apps including Pilot,TA, and Loves. Really appreciate it and that Allstays one looks pretty awesome.
