Most of the time they're not calling to tell you what a great person you are. It's usually something like, "Go rescue this load from another driver that ran out of hours." or "hey can you drive back 50 miles and pick up a couple extra pallets at this other place so we can squeeze some more $$ out of your truck and mess up your cpm pay." Just keep driving and get another hundred miles away and then they'll abandon the idea, because by then it will be too many deadhead miles.

Matter of fact, In my three years of otr I can't recall one instance of a dispatcher or someone from the company calling to tell me something helpful.
