I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you're merely ignorant of the fact that 99% of CR England's negative reputation comes from the lease program side.

They're not bad to their company drivers, they just push people hard to lease. Those that get in a company truck do their job and get paid for it.

wow splitting 30cpm that sounds way low. just thinking both of you driving 500 miles each in a day (1,000 total) that's like 17 hours you said you made about 150. that day well that comes out to 8.82 a hour. but I guess I could spin that and say you were relaxing for 500 of those miles. I sure hope you got along with your buddy driver 24/7. I'm not dissing CR England but im surprised that people jump at driving for such a low wage.

30 cent split is better than some other companies I know about. Starter companies get by with lower wages because they know people need somewhere to start. The mileage pay is only half the compensation. The other half is the experience drivers are getting so better companies will hire them later.

IMO, you're wrong in both cases. 99% of CR England's negative reputation is not related to their lease program,
and they are indeed very bad to most of their company drivers. I dealt with their BS for almost a full year but finally quit and escaped to a better company. What kind of actual experience do you have with CRE?

About a year's worth, from both sides of the fence. I'm not a fan of big brother cameras or I'd have stayed on the company side.

Good point about that lawsuit, as I was primarily thinking about everything I've personally heard and/or read from both past and current CRE drivers. As you know, those "big brother cameras" are not liked by lots of folks and is but one example of a lousy management tactic by CRE.

You're a fair-minded guy. I tip my hat to you and apologize for my earlier snide remark.

I was with CRE for 4.5 years and they screw over everyone eventually. From company drivers, lease op's and even the Driver Managers. I was OTR then western regional and then finally the container division. Saw all kinds of crap and how they can treat people like disposable equipment.

When i started out at cre i did not know a thing about the industry so it was a no brainer to go as a company driver over leasing. After all the hassle it seems to cause folks i doubt i will ever be doing that.
