Sadly this is a reality at Carolina Cargo. Their philosophy is they're giving someone a chance. Some pay is better than none in their eyes. They pay just over minimum wage, mediocre equipment, and really strict hand-holding. (need fuel at 3am, good luck! getting a hold of the night dispatcher to turn your fuel card on for the 34.5938 gallons you must pump to the penny!!!)

Believ it or not, there are worse places than Carolina Cargo. A few years ago, I got stuck at that TA in Lodi, OH for the weekend. Met a team that were sitting in the truckstop all day because the head Beancounter was so strict on fuel that they couldn't idle their truck and have enough fuel to reach their destination. And these 2 drivers, grown men, had to split $300/week.
Lepton1, jammer910Z and Pure.Genius Thank this. -

Well, my hats off to you; i've been doing this for 22 years and you made 20,000 more than me last year. The most i've ever made was 57K. And i don't have a criminal record (yet).

P.S.
If i could add one more thing, here is another possible strategy for someone with felony or several felonies:
Get your own authority and truck. Now, finding the money for the truck might be a problem though......... -
