12/22- I finally got out of AZ early this morning. New Mexico was kind enough to let me in and I didn't look back. I ended up Bobtailing to the P/U which was an experience. The guard and I joked about how to fit 44,500 pounds of Quaker Oats inside a ProStar. Ended up being a PreLoaded trailer; I guess waiting until 6 hours after the appointment time has it's advantages. I scaled at the FlyingJ and was 660 pounds overweight. Returned to shipper and 1 hour later they removed 1 pallet from the front of the trailer and off I went into the night.

Hoping to get a preplan before I drop in Dallas in the morning but the way it has been going I seriously doubt it will happen. I'm definitely not getting home on 12/23 but I requested that day after reading here to give a earlier date because you will never get home on the date requested. If I can get a load out on 12/23 I can be home on 12/24... my youngest, 7, told Santa that he would give up all his Christmas gifts if he could have his Daddy home for Christmas and I'm not looking to disappoint him.

On a good note my experience thus far at the El Paso, TX terminal has been positive other than the not working Kiosks, but no surprise there. That may be partially due to the fact that the first 7 hours were spent sleeping, but I'll give the benefit of the doubt.

I tried a macro 38 and got no response and still haven't heard from my DM. I'm considering filing a missing persons report just for fun. I can't wait to see if I actually got paid for the nightmare that was Phoenix. I think I am entitled to layover pay for Sunday, some kind of compensation for the cancelled load on Monday, and maybe something extra for the aggravation of it all but I will just be happy to never return to the Phoenix terminal and to get home for X-mas.

Happy Trails all and may you all make it home safe to your families!!!!

This is what gets to most drivers out on the road. When hubby started driving OTR, this part would get to us the most. My son would cry every time we dropped him off at the truck. I feel for you and all drivers in dealing with the issues associated with the little ones and it's the most painful one.

Back on the road after some much needed R&R with the family. My DM is actually answering my qualcomm messages, and I am getting decent loads so there is hope yet. The PornStar is serviced and running great. Got new wiper blades at Edwardsville today so now I can see where I am going heading into the blizzard tomorrow on I-70 going to Colorado.

Not much else to report for now... hope all y'all had a good visit with your families and get good miles in the new year.

If you're headed to Denver, I might see you there.

Yep... the load delivers in Englewood 1/04/11 but I am hoping to T-call it in Greeley. If all goes well I should be at the terminal tomorrow night. If you are in the area I would love to meet up.

    PS- I'll buy dinner.

I know of a good boo-fay across from the Walmart if that's what you like. Ask Truckerdragon. I'm about 580 out, but will be at the terminal probably before 1800 as long as weather holds.

Works for me... I'm about 600 out with an 08:00 load. Should be pulling in about the same time; weather permitting.
